Foot Pain Clinic.

and long-term disability.

About the Clinic

At IVY Wellness Care, our Leg Preservation Foot Pain Clinic specializes in evaluating leg and foot pain, diabetic foot ulcers, and poor circulation. We focus on saving limbs through timely vascular assessment

Who Should Be Seen at IVY Wellness Care?

You should be evaluated at IVY Wellness Care if you have:

  • Diabetes (type 1 or type 2), especially with numbness, tingling, or burning in the feet

  • Foot or leg ulcers that are slow to heal, draining, or keep coming back

  • Pain when walking that improves with rest, or pain in the feet/legs at rest or at night

  • Cold feet, color changes (pale, blue, dark), or weak pulses in the legs or feet

  • A history of peripheral artery disease (PAD), smoking, high cholesterol, kidney disease, or prior amputation

If you answer “yes” to any of these, you are at higher risk for serious foot complications and should have your circulation checked.

Prevention & Self-Care Messaging

Prevent future ulcers and amputations with daily foot care:

  • Inspect your feet every day for cuts, blisters, redness, cracks, or ulcers

  • Wash and dry your feet daily, especially between the toes

  • Moisturize dry skin (but not between toes) to prevent cracking

  • Trim toenails straight across; do not cut corns or calluses yourself

  • Wear well-fitting shoes and socks at all times; avoid going barefoot

  • Stop smoking, and manage blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure

Do not wait – seek care immediately if you notice:

  • A foot sore or ulcer that is slow to heal, draining, or changing color

  • Foot that is cold, pale, dark, numb, or unusually painful

  • Redness, warmth, swelling, bad odor, or fluid staining your socks

  • Leg cramping, known circulation problems, or recurring wounds

Go to the emergency department now if:

  • Your foot is suddenly very painful, cold, pale/blue/black

  • You have fever with rapidly spreading redness or foul-smelling drainage
